Android 4.4.2 KitKat Update for Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 to Land in April or May

Samsung has promised us that we’ll get Android 4.4.2 KitKat updates for their flagship devices and now it’s the time for the Galaxy S3. According to some leaks it seems like the Samsung Galaxy S3 i9300 will received the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update in April or May, which means we are one or two months away from it.

Features:

KitKat comes with features like Location Settings, album art and camera button on the lockscreen, Default Apps setting, unified Hangouts messaging and a slightly revamped user interface.

The location settings allow you to enable or disable specific location detection features and it lets you know how much battery each one of them uses. When you listen to music, you can now see the album art on the lockscreen, where there’s also a camera button so you can take photos faster, without even unlocking the Galaxy S3.

Hangouts can now send SMS and MMS, which means you won’t have to use the stock messaging app anymore. If you were already using Hangouts for instant messaging, video calls or just to send files, then you can also use it as your default SMS and MMS app.
