Samsung Galaxy S5 Now Available for Pre-order at Some European Carriers


During the Unpacked 5 event where the Galaxy S5 was officially announced, the Samsung representatives said that the new handset will become available for purchase on April 9th in over 150 countries. In the meantime, the S5 has been listed for pre-order in Swede, Russia, Czech Republic, and Romania, with priced between €600 - €700 ($830 – $964).

In Sweden, the Galaxy S5 has an off-contract price of €700 ($964) and several carriers are already accepting pre-orders for it. Tre (Three for Sweden) has set the starting price at €37 ($51) per month, but you will receive a 32 GB microSD card for free. On the other hand Telia is offering the Galaxy S5 at €43 ($59) a month with two-year contract and Tele2 asks €48 ($66) per month with a two-year agreement.

If you are reading this from Russia, you should know that the pre-order the Galaxy S5 directly from Samsung’s official site at RUB 30,000 (€600 / $830). If you pre-order it before April 9, you will also receive a RUB 2,000 (€40 / $55) voucher that can be used in Samsung’s App Store.

The new Samsung handset costs in the Czech Republic at CZK 19,000 (€700 / $950) and is available in White, Black, Blue, and Gold. Orange Romania is offering the Galaxy S5 off-contract €700 ($950), but can also get it for €249 ($342) with a two-year contract of €55 ($75) a month.
