The standard HTC One M8 was made available for purchase at Verizon on the very day of its announcement, the stock Android-powered HTC One M8 Google Play Edition went on sale on March 26, and starting today you can purchase the Developer Edition of the HTC flagship phone. The One M8 Developer Edition is running Android 4.4.2 KitKat with Sense 6.0, but unlike the standard model, it offers an unlockable bootloader.
Hardware-wise the HTC One M8 Developer Edition is identical to the standard mode: quad-core 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 1080p 5.0-inch Super LCD3 display, HTC BoomSound, Duo 4 MP UltraPixel Camera, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB native storage, microSD card support (up to 128 GB), 2,600 mAh battery, and all the connectivity features worthy of a modern smartphone such as 4G LTE, WiFi, NFC, IR blaster, Bluetooth 4.0, and microUSB 2.0. Since the Developer Edition also comes with Sense 6.0, you’ll also be able to enjoy goodies like BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe, or Motion Launch.
